I'm a BIG kid now!

Today was another milestone for Colin (and for me).

He had his first haircut.

I have to be honest, I wasn't sure I would be able to go through with it.

Several things changed my mind; first, the poor kid always had his hair in his eyes. Second, he always got food in his hair. Third, he sweats so much when he sleeps and his little head was always wet. Lastly, I was tired of strangers complimenting me on how beautiful my "daughter" was.

BEFORE

I think I suffered more today than he did. His beloved Drina (AKA Marcie) gave him a Blow Pop and he was happier than a clam!  Drina videotaped the experience and you know I will be busting this little piece of history out when he's in high school! HEE HEE.

AFTER

Amber, our stylist, was great with him and her happy demeanor made the event easier on me.

I didn't cry but I did tear up. As you can see, he doesn't look like a baby anymore. He's a BIG kid now!

SIGH.

This motherhood stuff doesn't get any easier does it!?
